The Department of Rog Nidan & Vikriti Vigyan is staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members possessing recognized
postgraduate qualifications in accordance with the norms and regulations prescribed by the NCISM New Delhi. The faculty profile of the department
strictly adheres to the statutory requirements laid down by the regulatory authorities.
All faculty members are professionally trained in Medical Education Technology (MET) and effective communication skills, ensuring a modern,
student-centered, and academically enriching learning environment. Academic, research, and administrative responsibilities are systematically
allocated as per university guidelines and prescribed regulations. The department remains committed to academic excellence, with faculty members
continuously enhancing their teaching methodologies through extensive study of classical Ayurvedic texts, contemporary literature, and advanced
educational resources.
The Second Professional B.A.M.S. course serves as a vital academic bridge between the First and Third Professional years. During this phase,
students are introduced to six core subjects, among which Rog Nidan & Vikriti Vigyan holds exceptional significance. The subject forms the foundation of clinical
diagnosis, which is indispensable for effective treatment and patient care. A thorough understanding of Nidan Panchak and pathological principles is
essential for accurate disease diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
The subject “Rog Nidan” itself is self-explanatory, providing students with their first comprehensive exposure to clinical diagnosis and disease
evaluation. This foundational knowledge plays a pivotal role in disease management and is regarded as a key element for success in both Ayurveda
and the broader medical sciences.
To strengthen academic learning and promote in-depth subject knowledge, the department continuously develops and upgrades its educational resources.
As part of this initiative, the Departmental Library has been established to support students and faculty members in academic and research activities.
The departmental library currently houses approximately 30 books relevant to the subject requirements, including a comprehensive collection of
